These are all poems that I wrote.
Wisp
I am a wisp.
A stalk, blowing in the wind.
I see everything like from behind a foggy window.
Life passes me by.
I do not see it.
I am a wisp
People turn when I go by,
Thinking I’m a ghost.
But I am not.
For now, I am a wisp.
Concerned faces ask many questions.
I ignore them all.
They try to shove it down my throat.
I walk away.
For I am a wisp,
And wisps must float.
I am a wisp.
A stalk, blowing in the wind.
I see everything like from behind a foggy window.
Life passes me by.
I do not see it.
I am a wisp
Fat
My thighs touch,
I can pinch an inch,
You can’t see my ribs,
Yeah, I’m so fat.
I weigh 5 pounds less than before,
Lunch is dumped in the trash,
My collarbone is creeping out,
Yeah, I’m so fat.
Now I’ve lost 10,
People comment on how I’m so thin,
Bye, bye snacking,
I’m so fat.
I’ve lost 15,
Faces are concerned,
My bones are sticking out,
But still I am so fat
20 gone now,
My skin is pale,
My nails are blue,
But I am still quite fat.
I’m gone now,
Dead and gone forever,
My last thought is,
Darn, I’m still so fat.
Stuck
I am stuck
I can not lose anything
Not my keys, not a pound.
